Inspection Services

Our Home Inspector will review the detailed report with you to make sure you understand everything and answer any remaining questions.

Repair Estimate Report

Negotiate faster with the Repair Estimate Report.  The Repair Estimate Report uses the details from your Inspection Report to create cost estimates you and/or your realtor can use to negotiate the purchase of your inspected property.  The experts at a third-party vendor (Porch) will deliver an itemized list of estimates for you to review based on your Inspection Report Summary.  The Repair Estimate Report can help you save time and money during the negotiating process.

Radon Testing
Radon Testing

Radon is a cancer-causing natural radioactive gas that you can’t see, smell or taste. Its presence in your home can pose a danger to your family’s health. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and the second leading cause of lung cancer in America. The U.S. Surgeon General and EPA recommend that all homes be tested for the presence of radon. FNH Inspections LLC is a qualified radon testing service, having completed the Radon Measurement Operator Proficiency course. We use measuring devices that are placed in the lowest level of the residence for a period of 48 hours, with the results available at the end of the test.

Sewer Scope Inspections
Sewerscope

Inspecting a home’s sewer line is an extremely important part of FNH Inspections LLC’s inspection services. A sewer scope inspection reveals a blocked and damaged sewer line, typically caused by tree roots invading the pipe. Even a slightly leaky sewer pipe will draw the attention of roots that are seeking moisture.

The sewer scope inspection may also show large and hairline cracks, holes, pipe separation, pooling water, sagging caused by shifting soil, heavy grease buildup, and corrosion deposits in cast-iron pipes.

If problems are discovered, FNH Inspections LLC will recommend an appropriate course of action, such as root cleaning, descaling, hydro-jetting, repair or replacement. These procedures should be followed by a re-inspection.

Water Quality Testing
Laboratory

Not only do you use water for cooking, cleaning, and bathing, but you also drink it. Therefore, you want to make sure the home’s water is safe. Water testing reveals levels of bacteria in the home’s municipal or well water, and will determine whether the quality conforms to guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency and other agencies.

State law requires that public water systems test and treat municipal water, but this occurs only at the treatment plant. Before water reaches the home, it goes through miles of piping, some which may be in disrepair and contain lead or other contaminants. Testing for well and municipal water is performed with a complete water analysis test kit that tests for lead, pesticide, iron, copper, alkalinity (PH and hardness), chlorine, nitrates, and bacteria.

Commercial Inspections
Strip mall

Commercial property is a big investment and it only makes sense for you to have a building inspection and receive a comprehensive and thorough report along with a Repair Estimate Report.  We will check all five major systems within the building which includes:

  • Structural integrity
  • Roofing
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Heating, ventilation and cooling (HVAC)
  • Related risks and hazards

We will also check the exterior of the building, including parking lots and other structures.

Pre-Purchase Inspection
Kitchen

A home inspection is a visual process where all of the readily accessible items typically used within a home are tested and/or operated to verify proper operation or installation.  A sampling of doors and windows are opened and closed, roofing materials inspected (weather permitting), and air conditioning or heating systems operated (depending on the season).  The Inspector will run sinks, showers and tubs, and flush the toilets, all the while making notes on the condition and operation of the components tested.  A sampling of electrical outlets and light switches will be tested as well.  The defencies and maintenance items will be found in your report.
